Dr. John Shackelford is a licensed psychologist and has been in private practice in Richardson for over thirty years. He practices in Glen Rose one day a week.

 

John grew up in Glen Rose then attended Howard Payne University for his bachelors degree. He received his Psy. D. (Doctor of Psychology) degree from Rosemead School of Psychology in Southern California. He has been a licensed psychologist in Texas since 1980.

 

Clinical practice interests and skills are: ADHD assessment, Brief Neuropsychological Assessment, and QEEG (Brain Maps), and psychotherapy. He also has many years in the integration of psychology and Christian faith.

 

John has been married to Lalla, his high-school sweetheart, forever. They enjoy two grown children and six grandchildren.  Hobbies include carpenter work, writing, and the Cowboys.
